Trish did three beautiful flower arrangements , while she was talking to the audience about her love of flowers and telling us something about her childhood and favourite memories. There were also four smaller arrangements to go with the larger ones, and she had been assisted by Olive in the making of these and the preparation of the others.
The first arrangement was accompanied by a poem by Pam Ayres , read by Peggy . The second arrangement, depicting sculpture , was accompanied by the poem, Come Into The Garden Maud, by Alfred Lord Tennison, read by Anne. The third arrangement , depicting The Seaside , was accompanied by a reading from Enid Blyton's Five Go Down To the Sea, also read by Anne.
Pat T organised and ran the raffle, and the prizes were the flower arrangements . Lucky those who won!
