On Wednesday 21st May members of Kelsall WI made a Spring Garden visit to Tirley Garth. The head gardener started his tour by giving a short talk on the history of the house and garden. He lead us around the herbaceous borders, the circular acre garden, the magnificent rhodedendrons and pointed out some rare species of trees.
The tour was followed by afternoon tea in the studio. All proceeds from the visit will be donated by Tirley Garth to Tarporley War Memorial Hospital, which is Kelsall WI’s nominated charity for 2014.
Kelsall WI’s next big event will be on Saturday 27th September at Kelsall Community centre, ‘The Bake Off with a Bee’. Details and entry forms for this event are available in Kadras, in Dutton’s the Butchers and on the Kelsall WI website. All are welcome to enter.
