Our walks (and coffee stops) , 2019
updated 15th August
Tuesday 13th August
Today, Janet led a walk along the Shropshire Union Canal, from close to the Aldi carpark to the old Steam Mill, where the cafe /bistro, the Artichoke is situated. It was a very pleasant walk, past some very interesting buildings, old and new.We passed several locks, with their associated lock keeper's cottages, the old water tower, and an old chapel, now converted into residences. The rain stayed away, and , as always, the group enjoyed a very welcome coffee (and scone), this time in the Artichoke.
(The following picture shows four of today's walkers, including an interloper!)

Tuesday 2nd July
Today the amblers walked around the lanes at Duddon. The weather was very humid but they had an enjoyable time and then rewarded themselves with a coffee ☕️ at Okells. (surprise!)

Tuesday 11th June
The weather today was so bad, with very heavy rain, that the amblers didn't attempt a walk, but repaired directly to the coffee shop at Okells....is that a surprise??
The following three pictures (in the slideshow ) show the group, as always, enjoying themselves over a very congenial cup of coffee . Who needs a walk.....?
