Visit To Anglesey
As the photographs testify, it was a happy group of sixteen Kelsall W.I. Members who travelled to Anglesey , via the RSPB Reserve at Conway, on August 12th 2015. We were there to visit Llanfairpwllgwngogerychwyrndrobwlllantysiliogogogoch where the first W.I. In the U.K. was formed one hundred years ago.
After a short introductory talk and a warm welcome from an Anglesey Federation representative we were invited to look round a most interesting and well displayed Centenary exhibition in the old Toll House adjoining the W.I. Hall. Appetites whetted, we did justice to an excellent buffet lunch served by Llanfair P.G. W.I. members before going on to Beaumaris for free time to enjoy ice creams, retail therapy, and the lovely views across the Menai Straits to Snowdonia.
An interesting day out, made all the more enjoyable by blue skies and sunshine.
